Called the Polish Venice, because rivers and canals in this city are connected by more than a hundred bridges. It has magnificent monuments, proximity to the mountains and an energy that it infects its inhabitants and visitors with. How not to love Wrocław? Here are some interesting places on the city map that are worth a visit during your stay at PURO Wrocław. The hotel's garden and its surroundings are also highly recommended, especially now in spring.
BABA BISTRO
Beata Śniechowska, chef and author of culinary books, together with restaurateur Tomasz Czechowski, opened an excellent place on the Wrocław gastronomic map last year: BABA is a bistro that impresses not only with its food, but also with its interior design by Paradowski Studio. The menu features seasonal dishes made from local produce and international cuisine - lots of vegetables, but also fish and meat.
This is the second Wrocław location of the Śniechowska-Czechowski duo.
As of 2019, they also run the bistro Młoda Polska, where you can eat traditional Polish dishes in fresh interpretations and listen to live music.

VELODROME
‘Breslau Cycling Track - a 200m long concrete track built in 1929. It was one of three facilities of this type located in Wrocław before World War II. Designed by architect and cyclist Clemens Schurmann, it served mainly a training function. (...) The steep, concrete curves have hosted many outstanding athletes during its existence - from the celebrities of the communist era - Janusz Kierzkowski or Józef Grundmann, the track's namesake - to the currently successful competitors - Mateusz Rudyk’. - you can read on the website of the Wrocław Velodrome Association, which cares for the maintenance of the facility in good condition. The association is responsible for many great initiatives related to cycling, including cycling competitions, the Bike Days film festival or the #dziewczynynarowery action.

BWA Wrocław – four spaces with art and design, connected by a common programme: these are shows, exhibitions, publications and various actions. What matters here are new social ideas and contemporary visual practice, art education and art promotion.
Under the name of BWA (Bureau of Artistic Exhibitions) operate:
BWA Wrocław Główny, the largest of the four galleries, which is located on the mezzanine floor of Wrocław's railway station. Here, we will see exhibitions that allude to the context of the place - a 19th century terminal used for transportation.
The Dizajn Gallery, which deals with the theme of design. Its programme includes curated exhibitions on the social dimensions of design, as well as publishing and workshop activities. A part of the gallery is the Living Room, where, like in a sanatorium, you can relax and drink water.
BWA Studio, which combines the functions of a residence and an open studio. Here you can listen to debates and participate in organised meetings.
SIC! Gallery is the only gallery in Poland dedicated to artistic, studio and applied glass. The gallery's areas of interest include historical, geopolitical and social studies of glass and ceramics.
