PURO Culinary: HINT Wrocław. Delicious food in a flash!
If you want a hint about PURO Hotel Wrocław’s HINT, think openness; the word that best describes the atmosphere of the place originating from and reflective of the PURO philosophy. HINT’s non-pretentious and democratic tastes are delightfully inviting, so take your seat at the table!
At HINT, “something good for everyone” means abundance. Fear not, however, for the menu is not as large as the word might suggest. Its clear layout and intuitive design will take you straight to the section of your interest whether you are thinking about eating something small, healthy, big, savory, or sweet. The final decision is always yours to make, but remember that HINT offers tastes inspired by street food from all over the world, breaking away with the prevalent image of a Polish hotel restaurant serving a second-rate fine dining experience at an exorbitant price. HINT is all about good food all day long, be it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Classic comfort food seduces the taste buds with aromatic spices from the Middle East, Asian flavors, and fatty-crispy vibes from the other side of the ocean. This is HINT’s recipe for success in the meeting place that is Wrocław and the very heart of its multicultural Four Denominations District.
Speaking of comfort, do not deny yourselves the pleasure of eating with your bare hands - this food fits your hand like a glove! Rhetorically speaking, who wouldn’t want to grab a juicy, panko-coated prawn with their fingers and dip it in a delicious sauce? The chef also recommends putting salmon tartare inside the grilled pita bread to experience fish, shallot, lemon, and dill blend in a harmony of tastes. Try thinking about orange sweet potato fries or a selection of vegan dainties (coated oyster mushrooms, hummus, cheddar, mayonnaise with dill seeds) without the urge to do away with knives and forks. Impossible, isn’t it?
But if it feels like all that’s good is fat and sweet, take a look at a selection of meals labeled “something healthy”. A variety of options is astounding, and so is the diversity of colors, forms, and textures. You certainly won’t be left hungry after eating one of the really huge portions. Imagine delicately grilled pieces of salmon and cod served with lettuce, marinated fennel, and home-baked focaccia, or chicken liver complemented with refreshing watermelon, feta cheese, and raspberry vinaigrette. The chef has also taken care of vegetarians and vegans, turning HINT into one of the best spots with plant-based cuisine in the city! Try tortillas with hummus, baba ganoush with umami extras, salads with baked sweet potatoes and satay sauce, or mango sticky rice.
Every Monday, HINT posts information on its Facebook page regarding three lunch meals that are going to be served until Friday between noon and 5 p.m. The selection always includes meat and meat-free options, with appearances of fish-based dishes and vegan options. This hint is definitely worth remembering, since each meal can be ordered to go. So, if you’re in a rush looking for something to eat - call the restaurant, make an order, and collect your meal at your convenience.
The HINT alcohol menu is quite short, offering beverages that honor the city known for its craft beer. Hence, the selection includes products from local breweries such as Sto Mostów, Profesja, Hoppy Lab and Prost. You can also try classic cocktails with a twist or carefully selected wines from Italy, France, and Chile, including one Polish and vegan option. Sold per glass.
HINT is by all means a perfect summer choice. At this time of the year, you can relish your food not only in the designer guest room (designed by renowned Wrocław-based BUCK.studio), but also in a charming garden overlooking a green promenade stretching along the moat. The green garden is perfect for breakfast, a lunch break, and a night out. When it comes to garden entertainment, HINT invites everyone to attend barbecues, transmissions of sports events, concerts, and Oko na Wrocław / An Eye for Wrocław - a series of events on culture and society organized by the USTA Magazine.
HINT’s new summer menu has just had its premiere, drinks are already cooling down, and chairs are waiting on a freshly cut lawn! All that’s left is for you to call a bunch of friends and enjoy summer in PURO!
