PURO Trends: Warsaw Home

30.09.2018 Trend & News

Warsaw is transforming into the capital of European design! International Interior Design Trade Fair Warsaw Home, opening today through October 7, is aimed at both professionals and passionates of design. Coming to the Polish capital are the latest projects, trends, ideas, as well as top brands from the world of design.

Since its inception two years ago, the Warsaw Home Trade Fair, organized on the premises of the PTAK Warsaw Expo, has become the biggest design-focused event in Central and Eastern Europe. Serving as a business platform for international collaborations and a space for interior design lovers, Warsaw Home gathers architects, interior designers, brand owners, stores, and end users.

The inspiration to create Warsaw Home came from the realization of how strong the Polish furniture industry and its export scale were and continue to be. The first edition proved that there had been a gap in Poland that needed to be filled. I would love Warsaw Home to be mentioned in the same breath together with Milan or Paris fair – says Kasia Ptak, the initiator and CEO of the event.

This year’s, third Fair edition is particularly large in scope. Five halls covering the space of 120 thousand square meters are welcoming 800 brands representing sectors such as Furniture, Kitchen & Dining, Interiorn Finish and Deco. Also, special guests from Poland and abroad such as Tom Dixon, Oskar Zięta, Tomek Rygalik and Nika Zupanc will engage in discussions around this year’s leitmotif – SIŁA! [Polish for POWER!].

Warsaw Home is also hosting a range of accompanying events: Design Forum – four days of discussions, debates, and conversations about design; Poland Design Festival – a space for the promotion of young designers and brands; Archi Day – a specially designed space for architects; and Blog Tour with selected, influential interior design bloggers. We strongly recommend that you see the following exhibitions: “The original comes from Vitra” – an exhibition about emotionally-engaging, iconic Vitra designs and “Dom Idei” [the house of ideas] – a space where design, art, and senses meet, arranged by the main media partner – Design Alive magazine.

Let’s celebrate design in Warsaw!
