Reading Get-Together is an initiative taken straight from New York. The formula is easy. Everyone brings a book of their choice, reads for an hour at their own pace, in their favourite position, with their favourite beverage at hand, in concentration and isolation from everything and everyone. Music plays quietly in the background. Each time a different DJ is invited. After a while, the music starts to play louder and the event guests move from reading to talking about reading and other things.

Nearly 60 people came to the first Reading Get-Together at the MAK in Krakow. Including families with children.
- In New York, a similar formula is called Reading Rhythms, I read about it in The New Times - says Karolina Goczoł, event manager of PURO - I contacted them to ask if it was OK for us to implement a similar idea in Poland, at PURO. They agreed eagerly in the name of strengthening worldwide readership. They were delighted that their idea had caught on on the other side of the ocean. Karolina Goczoł also immediately thought of a partner for the event in the form of the publishing house Tajfuny. The event will be held periodically at PURO hotels in various cities.
The New York event advertises itself with the slogans - it's not a book club, but a reading party. Read with friends to live music. What could be more fun than spending time together with friends in the company of books?
Tajfuny Publishing House brings the literature of East Asia closer. These are fresh voices from the local literary scenes, unknown and forgotten classics and cult items that have not reached Poland before. Their books amaze with beautiful language and touch on important topics.

We invite you to the next Reading Get-Together on 14 June at 7 p.m. to PURO Kraków Kazimierz. This time it will be a garden reading. A DJ set will be played by Oliwia Radar. Books from the Tajfuny publishing house will be available for purchase on site.
