PURO Team: Dawid Grausch

In our PURO Team series, we want to introduce you to those who contribute to the PURO Experience. With unique skills and outstanding biographies, they make up a special, colorful, and vibrant community. Dawid Grausch* is a brand experience director at PURO. What exactly does the “brand experience” stand for? What does the view from the top floor of PURO Gdańsk taste like and how to relax with style at PURO Kraków Kazimierz? Read on and satisfy your curiosity!
What do you do at PURO?
As a Brand Experience Director, I am in charge of creating the strategy and experience of the PURO brand, which means I make decisions related to the service, public spaces, as well as music and technology we use, just to name a few things. I also make sure that everything we do stays in keeping with the philosophy behind our brand. I plan activities and events to be held in hotels as part of the PURO Experiences series and co-ordinate collaborations between PURO and other brands, the most recent being the opening of Zofia Chylak’s boutique in Poznań.
How did you find your way to PURO?
The hotel industry was my conscious (yet not the first) choice. I graduated from Hotelschool the Hague, where I gained a lot of theoretical but, most importantly, practical knowledge about the way the hotel should function and be managed – the knowledge I have used ever since. When it comes to PURO, I did not go through a typical recruitment process. I “met” Rune Askevold – PURO Creative Director – on Instagram when I was working for a global hotel brand in Berlin. When we finally met in person, it turned out we agreed on a lot of things related to the industry. Later, I was offered a job at PURO, I accepted it and have been part of the brand since 2014.
What are the projects/skills you create/learn at PURO, but couldn’t anywhere else?
I do a lot of different things on a daily basis, which means I enjoy the privilege of creating and supervising projects of various natures. I think it’s quite a challenge and responsibility, but, at the same time, I see it as a chance to develop myself and draw inspiration for further work. What we do as PURO does not conform to the standards within the industry, which means we can all be part of unique endeavors.
