Christmas markets keep springing up in Europe’s largest cities. Flickering with lights, brimimng with the smells of Christmas delicacies, they brighten grey December days we spent anticipating the arrival of the most magical moment of the year – Christmas Eve. Rooted in the German tradition, Christmas markets in Poland have evolved into impressive endeavors that illuminate the atmoshphere of every large Polish city. This year, the Poznań Bethlehem came to Wolności Square in mid-November. And it’s impressive, indeed!
A Ferris wheel, carousels, roller coasters, a wooden tavern, a stage featuring Christmas-themed performances and stalls with a whole range of festive treats, including mulled wine, grilled Oscypek, and regional preserves… Everything in a cheerful atmosphere, among happy crowds and lingering aromas of Christmas baking. Come to the Square to have a taste of this atmosphere and buy some gifts for your loved ones. The market will stay open until Christmas.
