Her works have been presented at international festivals and exhibitions, including Circulation(s) Festival (France), Landskrona foto (Sweden), Noorderlicht Festival (The Netherlands). She has participated in prestigious workshops such as the Joop Swart Masterclass and the Eddie Adams Workshop. She focuses her photographic activities on long-term projects. Most of them are affected by the phenomenon of loss and its consequences – these issues can be found in her series Self-portrait with mother, Missing People, Reborn and Little Poland. Using her own experience, the author expands the perspective of other people struggling with the problem of loss — of loved ones, places and identities. She attaches great importance to building a personal relation- ship with the subjects of her work.

Q: Is there any typically-Łódź phenomenon that people who come from other cities and countries should know?

A: I’d certainly recommend going to the museum of cinematography – Art Inkubator, where every year, in June, the brilliant FotoFestival takes place (fotofestiwal.com). During the festival, the whole city turns into a work of art. Nearby, is the Księży Młyn estate which is worth going for a walk. And of course, go for a coffee break to the National Film School.
