Discover moreWarsaw, like any proper capital city and art center, never sleeps, and is always in developing vibrantly. Reading Get-Together is an initiative taken straight from New York. The formula is easy. Everyone brings a book of their choice, reads for an hour at their own pace, in their favourite position, with their favourite beverage at hand, in concentration and isolation from everything and everyone. Music plays quietly in the background. Each time a different DJ is invited. After a while, the music starts to play louder and the event guests move from reading to talking about reading and other things.
"The motifs in my work are destruction, the decay of reality, pathological and toxic relationships between people" says Jakub Gliński in the third episode of "Behind the Art" video, produced by PURO.
Trójmiasto is made up of three cities passing one into the other, but definitely different in character. Gdańsk - steeped in history, Sopot - a seaside resort, Gdynia - the capital of Polish modernism. Each is surrounded by nature, with a forest on one side and the sea on the other, and urban life pulsating in their centres. We present some interesting and unusual ideas for spending time in the Tricity. These places are worth visiting during your stay in Gdańsk's PURO.
Until 24 November, the Polish Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale is hosting an audiovisual video installation by the Ukrainian collective Open Group. "Repeat After Me II" is a portrait of witnesses to the war in Ukraine. The video works on display were created in 2022 and 2024. We talk to Marta Czyż, curator of the exhibition.
Called the Polish Venice, because rivers and canals in this city are connected by more than a hundred bridges. It has magnificent monuments, proximity to the mountains and an energy that it infects its inhabitants and visitors with. How not to love Wrocław? Here are some interesting places on the city map that are worth a visit during your stay at PURO Wrocław. The hotel's garden and its surroundings are also highly recommended, especially now in spring.
Visitors to Poznan's PURO will soon see a new look for the hotel. London-based studio Holloway Li is responsible for the design of the public space and the changes to the guest rooms. We talk to Alex Holloway - architect and founder of the London-based studio - about the changes in Poznań, but also about previous projects.
Six years after the first edition of Coffee Spots Poland, Krzysiek Rzyman and Aga Bukowska are back with a second, expanded edition of the guide. In the book, they described almost 300 specialty coffee shops, dozens of restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops and bars, and shared their conclusions about the coffee industry, its future and trends. "Coffee Spots Poland" is the largest knowledge base in the history of Polish coffee. The guide will please those involved in the industry as well as coffee lovers.
"I treat the picture like an object. It’s not just its surface that interests me, but also its spatiality and material, which usually gets pushed to the sidelines" says Bartosz Kokosiński in the second episode of "Behind the Art" video, produced by PURO.

Bread, when it’s good, is a thrill for the senses – the smell of freshly baked bread makes you feel at home. The familiar, comforting taste. The pleasing sound of a cracking crust. The enticing sight of sandwiches on a plate or stacked loaves on a shelf. And the delightful feeling of holding a slice of fresh, warm bread in your hand. Today we're looking at Kraków's top bakeries, blending global trends and homely traditions. Let’s explore our favourite places.
For years, Prague has been a fashionable destination for a city break or a weekend trip. The city is back on its feet after the lockdowns and the phases of the pandemic. The tourists come for the beautiful architecture (Gothic and Baroque churches, modernist buildings), the colorful history, cuisine, the beer-brewing tradition, and the locals’ laid-back attitude. For some time now we have seen a growing interest in Czechia, and in Prague in particular, among contemporary art lovers. The local art scene, art institutions, and private galleries are vibrant and quite active, and the city itself is buzzing with visual arts and electronic music.
Copenhagen is a city where everyone finds something to please them. It is fragrant with cardamon buns, coffee, and the sea. It is famed for its starred restaurants, minimalist design and architecture, as well as its museums with impressive art collections from around the world. It is also a city designed for people: it has bike paths, beaches right downtown, and network of picturesque canals. All this makes Copenhagen is special place, always ready to be rediscovered.
